Since the other post was part 1 on we go with part deux !
My original inspiration for cool T-Shirts came from Japan, where street culture from London and NYC started to mix and made their own,
I had to go there and explore it for myself. I wrote some designers that I thought were inspiring to me and ended up interviewing Headgoonie who released a bunch of books about SCREENPRINTING.
I interviewed him for my mini-documentary of which most of my videos had bad sound (never buy cheap microphones) but luckily his interview survived.
I never got around putting subtitles to it LOL but maybe its still interesting to watch.
I also went through all the shops like A Bathing Ape, Secret Base, Bounty Hunter, Neighborhood, Head Porter and more.
All of which were the original designers who created Japanese streetwear culture.
I was lucky to even meet the designer of Bounty Hunter at the store eating a Döner Kebab LOL !
Also make sure to watch the glass door they have at that store…
That trip also grew my Bape collection, most of which I rarely wear because I see those T-Shirts as collectors items, thats how nuts I am about T-Shirts even more than about sneakers.
If you call yourself a real sneakerhead you have to have some original Bapestas its part of the history and probably started that whole Hypebeast stuff we have today.
